Bio
Jane Zweibel holds an MFA in Painting from Columbia University, and a BA in Visual Art from Bennington College. She has received fellowships and residency awards from the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Artist in the Marketplace Program at the Bronx Museum, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Banff Centre for the Arts. Ms. Zweibel is the recipient of grants from the Puffin Foundation and Artist’s Fellowship, Inc., and was a finalist for the Tree of Life Foundation Grant. Her work has been reviewed in Art in America, the New York Times, and Fiberarts Magazine, and is included in the prestigious, curated Elizabeth A. Sackler Feminist Archive at the Brooklyn Museum. She has had numerous shows in the US and abroad, including Baang and Burne Contemporary, New York; A.I.R Gallery, Brooklyn; Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts; Museum for Art and Culture, New Rochelle, New York; Porter Contemporary, New York; Leslie’s Art Gallery, Luxembourg; Chaffers Gallery, New Zealand; and Flora Kirsch Beck Gallery, Alma, Michigan. From 2022-2023, Ms. Zweibel was an artist-in-residence at Galeria Vortice in Mexico City. In 2024, she was awarded artist residencies at SVA’s Summer Residency Program, New York City, and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, VA. In 2025, Ms. Zweibel is having her first solo show at Hashtag Gallery, Mexico City, and in 2026 she will have a solo show in the Project Room of the Painting Center in NYC.
